Motto
When you meet a sober
alcoholic
You meet a hero.
His mortal enemy slumbers within him;
He can never outrun his disability.
He makes his way through a world of alcohol
abuse,
In an environment that does not understand him.
Society, puffed up with shameful ignorance,
Looks on him with contempt,
As if he were a second-class citizen
Because he dares to swim against the stream of
alcohol.
But you must know:
No better people are made than this.
Be aware: He is a REMARKABLE
man !

Yes!
We live in a world where people drink without
discernment. People drink because they are happy,
sad, bored, they drink without reason, or simply
because drinking has become a lifestyle.
Advertising banners or TV commercials are invaded
by messages that spur to alcohol consumption
followed by hypocritical awarnings that
"alcohol consumption might cause severe
harm". However, nobody can tell where the
abuse starts, so ... people continue to drink.
| It
would be overstated to consider that any
alcohol consumption is dangerous for an
adult. A recent research
have stated that 40 grams pure alcohol
per day for males (about 0,1 l of strong
drinks, 0,4 l of wine, or 1 l of beer)
and 20 grams for females are the limit
between an inoffensive consumption and a
harmful one.

When excessive drinking occurs at
younger ages, it might be a sign of severe
personality disturbances or can indicate that the
youth lives in a disfunctional social enviroment.
Excessive drinking among young people represents
a serious alarm sign due to the fact that alcohol
addiction develops faster at younger ages.
The
majority of alcoholics do not easily accept to be
treated or they might never accept to follow a
treatment to cure their problem. Unfortunately,
most people do not perceive the alcohol as a drug
and their problem as a disease.
The purpose of this website is to
offer information to those in need. In order to
overcome the problem (alcohol addiction), the
alcoholic needs to comprehend the phenomenon.
Information give strength. We can find the right
solution to solve the problem only if we know
what we face.
Alcoholics can return to a
healthy, normal life only if they respect an
essential condition: stop drinking - abstinence.
The information posted on this
website is supported by alcohol research jurnals
and books that I had read while and after I
received treatment in a Romanian rehab clinic.
These materials helped me understand the problem
I was facing for many years and decided to stop
drinking. With all the respect and modesty, I
consider myself an exceptional man.
Also, I hope that this site will
turn into a "brige" that connects all
those poeple out there that face the same
problem, and will become a safe place where
alcoholics share their succes, can find new
information, can give and receive advices.
